Hi, I’m Katie Slick.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I work across traditional art, illustration, graphic design, wood burning, and other mediums, with a portfolio that ranges from detailed portraits and original artwork to digital illustration and design.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a concentration in 2D art from the University of Saint Francis, along with minors in Illustration and Graphic Design.

I’ve never been interested in limiting myself to one medium or style. Depending on the piece, I might work in watercolor, ink, graphite, colored pencil, acrylic, digital media—or a combination of several. I enjoy experimenting with different materials and finding the approach that best fits the idea.

Much of my work is inspired by people, nature, and the challenge of turning an idea into something tangible. Some pieces are created simply because I want to make them; others begin with someone else’s story or idea through commissioned work. When I’m not creating for myself, I enjoy making one-of-a-kind pieces for others. If you have something in mind, I’d love to hear about it.
