The Harbor Community Mural

The Harbor · Fort Wayne, Indiana
2019

While studying art at the University of Saint Francis, I created a mural design for The Harbor, a community gathering and performance space in Fort Wayne’s Mount Vernon Park neighborhood. The University was invited to design and paint a mural across the wooden pallet backdrop of the park’s stage, and my design was selected for the installation.

Under the direction of faculty advisor Tim Parsley, my classmates and I worked together to translate the design to scale and paint the finished mural.

The mural was unveiled during the opening of The Harbor, where I participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park opening and community project were also covered by The Journal Gazette.
